What's our biggest hurdle to building more homes?

One of our biggest assets in Canada is the land we live on, but one of our biggest hurdles to building more homes is to find more available space for building.  With our thirst for single family homes in the last 50 years we have used up much of the avaialable building land and now face major restrictions in buuilding the homes we need.
Our housing crunch is real and we need to find workable solutions to this problem to ensure the population boom is accounted for in our housing stock.

Rental market may be slowing

The GTA rental market is showing signs of slowing as inventory ticks upwards.  This has been reflected on to prices as rental rates show sign off softening too.  This may be in part because Short Term Rental rules are being tightened in some regions and they are being returned to the Long Term Rental pool.

What's happening to all the Mortgage Delinquencies in the GTA?

Despite rising interest rates and inflation impacting everyones pocket Mortgage Delinquency rates are still at record lows, especially compare to the long term average.  Whilst they have ticked up slightly they still remain at 0.16%.   
Banks are not interested in taking peoples homes, and will work with owners to find a solution that works.  With rates looking likely to drop in the near future, this is great news for the GTA real estate market health.
